Reminds me of Budapest
You and I have very different memories of Budapest
The Avengers | Black Widow, Hawkeye
#yes #love is for children. i owe him a debt. #obsessed with that loki monologue now that i’ve realized he calls it a child’s prayer at the end #she likens love to child’s play and he likens her bargain for clint’s life to child’s play #thinking that he can belittle her that way. he can’t of course but he thinks clint’s a weak spot #but i don’t think clint is a weak spot. i think clint is a place from which she derives strength #which may be paradoxical since i also think it’s a vulnerability that loki can exploit #but then she can invert that and throw it back at him #natasha is all about inversions she’s about using people’s strength against them she’s about using her small stature to throw big men off their feet #she lets them think they’ve bested her because she’s weak or emotional and it’s in that way that she extracts information #and so we have: strength in vulnerability #this relationship is natasha’s paradigm #when an opponent outweighs you you can use that strength against them and that’s what natasha does #she takes her vulnerabilities (her size and her femininity and clint) and transforms them into strengths that she can use #because natasha’s vulnerabilities are her strengths #AND SHE IS THE GREATEST!!!!! #i’ve got red in my ledger. i’d like to wipe it clean.
